Visit Inver Grove Heights (Visit IGH) is looking for a Digital Marketing & Content Contractor.
Part-Time Independent Contractor | 10–15 hours/week | $20/hour
About the Position
Visit Inver Grove Heights is seeking a creative, organized, and community-minded contractor to help showcase Inver Grove Heights as a destination for visitors. This role will create engaging social media and digital content, promote local businesses and attractions, and keep the Visit IGH events calendar current.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and publish 2 social media posts per week featuring local businesses, restaurants, hotels, attractions, parks, trails, events, and experiences.
- Create 1 blog post per month.
- Create 1 video per month for social media.
- Interact with followers and the community on social media.
- Re-share relevant partner and community content to Stories.
- Update and maintain the Visit IGH events calendar.
- Identify new and creative ways to promote Inver Grove Heights.
- Attend or experience local attractions, dining, events, and other visitor experiences to help create authentic content.
- Platform you will work on include- Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok.
Qualifications
Required:
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Comfortable using social media.
- Organized, reliable, and able to work independently.
- Interest in Inver Grove Heights and the local community.
- Creative mindset and ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred: Experience with social media management, Canva, photography, videography, short-form video, marketing, communications, tourism, or hospitality.
Compensation & Expectations
- 10–15 hours per week
- $20/hour as an independent contractor
- $50/month for approved experiences, dining, attractions, etc. to support content creation.
- Receipts are required for reimbursement; approved expenses will be included in the following month’s payment.
- Timesheets are due by the 1st of each month for the previous month’s work.
- Contractor will be paid within 7 days of receiving the timesheet.
- Reports to the Visit IGH Executive Director with bi-weekly check-ins.
